Celebrities celebrated Cinco de Mayo on the course and golfed for a good cause on Monday, May 5th to benefit the Lopez Foundation at the sold out 7th annual George Lopez Celebrity Golf Classic & Mercedes-Benz Dealer Championship presented by Sabra Salsa. The sold-out event, held at Lakeside Golf Club raised $510,000 to benefit the foundation. The tournament format was “Two Man Modified Best Ball” of five-somes with full handicap.
“I’m excited to announce that we raised a record-setting amount this year at my celebrity golf tournament. I would love to thank to all my friends and sponsors, The Lopez Foundation will be able to send kids with kidney disease to The Painted Turtle Camp, where they can go and have fun and not worry about being sick, it’s incredible,” said George Lopez.
